Job Description

AMG is partnering with a well-established litigation firm recognized among the 2026 Best Law Firms by Best Lawyers to hire a Litigation Attorney. This role will work directly with business-owner clients on a broad range of litigation matters, taking ownership of cases from inception through resolution. The firm offers a collaborative environment, flexible work arrangements, a pet-friendly office, and a steady pipeline of sophisticated litigation work.

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000, based on candidate experience

What you'll be doing

  • Managing litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Handling employment law, professional liability, construction law, and business litigation matters
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation filings
  • Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
  • Working directly with clients and providing day-to-day legal counsel
  • Managing case deadlines, court appearances, and overall case progression
  • Collaborating with attorneys and support staff to achieve successful client outcomes

What you'll need to have

  • 5+ years of substantive litigation experience
  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • Experience in employment law, professional liability, construction law, and/or business litigation
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience handling matters with significant autonomy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills
  • Intellectual property litigation experience is a plus, but not required
